You feel like a candle in a hurricaneJust like a picture with a broken frameAlone and helpless like you've lost your fightBut you'll be alrightYou'll be alrightCause when push comes to shoveYou taste what you're made ofYou might bend, till you breakCause it's all you can takeOn your knees you look upDecide you've had enoughYou get mad you get strongWipe your hands shake it offThen you standThen you standLife's like a novel with the end ripped outThe edge of a canyon with only one way downTake what you're given before its goneStart holding on, keep holding onCause when push comes to shoveYou taste what you're made ofYou might bend, till you breakCause it's all you can takeOn your knees you look upDecide you've had enoughYou get mad you get strongWipe your hands shake it offThen you stand (then you stand)Yea, then you stand (then you stand)Everytime you get upAnd get back in the raceOne more small piece of youStarts to fall into place, yeaOoohhhCause when push comes to shoveYou taste what you're made ofYou might bend, till you breakCause it's all you can takeOn your knees you look upDecide you've had enoughYou get mad you get strongWipe your hands shake it offThen you stand (then you stand)Then you stand (then you stand)Yea, then you stand (then you stand)Yea (then you stand)Ohhh (then you stand)Ohhh (then you stand)Ohhh (then you stand)Ohhh (then you stand)Then you stand

Inspiring...that best describes the words that were so eloquently put together. I believe these lyrics will and have probably have saved a lot of people.I believe every person can relate to a time or place in their life when they had to push themselves to get through a difficult time. I am sending the lyrics to two individuals that I love with my entire heart and that need them the most. My ex-husband and I are still very much in love. I love him with my heart but he has been sentenced to a maximum security state correctional facility for two years for driving drunk and getting caught for the 5th time. Thank God he didn't ever hurt anyone but he certainly could have. Our state is extremely tough on drunk drivers as all states should be however; his sentence is tougher than many pedophiles or rapists out there. He will be spending the next two years far from home with sex offenders and murderers. I believe he has hit rock bottom and will not ever touch a drop of alcohol again knowing what can come of it. He is having an extremely difficult time where he is and emotionally is not doing well. I am sending him these lyrics to keep him going to know that he CAN get up and move forward at the end of his sentence, he just needs to stick with it. It is all up to him.I am also sending these lyrics to my daughter who has been greatly affected by her Step-dad's sentence. Unfortunately she had to spend some time in the mental health section of our hospital due to severe depression and thoughts of suicide. She is doing better now and is going on an outpatient basis. She is a remarkable teen who has unfortunately experienced great sadness after loosing a close friend in an accidental shooting with a hunting riffle as well as her Dad walking out and now her Step-Dad being taken away. She loves this song so having it in writing on her bedroom wall will be a great reminder that it WILL get better and she CAN get through this tough time.To everyone out there, don't just hear the lyrics, really listen to them. We can all achieve great things if we believe in ourselves.
